Im trying to work out how these sequences work and its really bugging me.. help if you can!

9, 16, 178, ?, 13259 (?=1025)


60, 33, ?, 27, 36 (?=66)


Please help! :sick:

    I dont know the reasoning, thats the problem! :\ apart from the fact that the book gave it to me..
