What counts as 1 cup of water?

1 cup?

8 oz's ?

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but all I can find about water is what's on the food page

"We recommend that you drink at least 8 cups of water a day."

I'm just curious to know whether I've been under logging my water or logging too much

One liter = exactly 33.8140226 US fluid ounces or 4 cups plus a little more! Got it from yahoo questions and answers!

I find it amusing that a cup is different here (in Aus) to a cup in the US, but it doesn't REALLY matter, small difference. I've always had in my head to drink 2 litres, but if you are exercising, you need more water..

8oz is 1 cup -- "a pint is a pound the world around", as it were. (i often weigh fluids if i can't measure them in a measuring cup).
    64oz is 8 cups -- 8oz x 8 = 64oz

I would definitely consider doubling that suggested amount. You'd be surprised how effective the water in-water out technique can be for appetite suppression.
  • Well I should have known 8oz = 1 cup

The things you don't think of when you're not feeling well.
Thanks for the answers now I know that I've been under logging
my water everyday considering I buy cases of 16.9 oz bottles
    and drink those all day.
