Ok so I have an app for when i walk/run (Imapmyrun) and I was wondering if anyone knew one for biking? I just picked up a BMX cruiser and wanna use it before winter sets in. Imapmyrun is good bc it calculates distance, speed, calories and gives you the map that you walked. Does anyone know if theres one similar for bikes?

I use MapMyRun and MapMyWalk for biking as well. After you end your workout you can select "bike" as type of workout. I still find the distances to be off for walking running, so I usually verify using my desktop and the main website to plot my route.0

I don't know of an app, but I have a device on my bike that measures speed, average speed & distance. I would think it would be more accurate than an app, The brand I have is CatEye but there are several brands and they vary in price and some are really fancy while others are basic
Edit to add: search bike computer or bike calculate some are wireless and some you install on the bike0 -
also, adidas has a mi coach or something like that for biking0

mymyride works for biking, but i started using cardio trainer which will records several different types of workouts0

There are a bunch of apps available for logging a number of exercises. a bunch of them have free versions as well. Many have the capability to sync with a HRM as well. I use Logyourrun.com.0

I have an Android phone and use Endomondo. I like the output better than MapMyRide. I also use GarminConnect - I have a Garmin Forerunner 305 that I use as a bike computer (tracking time, speed, etc) and heart rate monitor (great for tracking heart rate zones).0

On the Android, I have used CardioTrainer, and I understand you can get a bluetooth heart rate monitor that works with it, but since I already have a heart rate monitor that works with my Garmin Forerunner 305 watch, I wear that and use it for cycling. There is an MFP group for cycling at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/344-bicycling-road-and-mountain if you want, check it out sometime!
Happy riding and good health to you!0 -
My favourite CardioTrainer has settings for all kinds of exercise, including biking.0

I use runkeeper.com for all stats. I have been using it for almost a year. Its GPS based application for iPhone! Awesome one! I do a lot of biking (almost 400 miles/month) so it helps me keep tab of it!0

My preference is http://ridewithgps.com/
A good app for plotting and converting GPS formats is RouteConverter.exe0 -

i use cardio trainer too, but i've heard some pretty bad things about the (optional) heart rate monitor. like, the phone needs to be in front of the HRM to get a signal, such as mounted on the handle bars, and not in a back pocket or saddlebag.0 -

This is an example of output from endomondo:
The graph on the bottom shows my speed, elevation and heart rate.

I use this app for mountain biking and I love it! It syncs with the online account so that you can access the rides information. It shows the elevations and even rank the hills. It's a really great app.0
