Rain boogaloo!
Wet weather here today. I wish I were a duck. Here's to a good week following all this washing of everything.
Today, the intention is a 6:15 yoga class at the gym (new teacher). I also have a long day of administering scale tests  . . .so my long day will seem even longer. Still longer if my students haven't practiced. . .I think the nervous energy is almost harder on me than them.
Take care, pebbles.:flowerforyou:

Yep, we've got the rain, too. I did get to bed almost on time, so I was able to wake up and do my strength routine. My plan today is same as usual - work, walk after lunch, and aerobics. Oh, and pushups.
I think I need to spend some time cleaning this week, but I also have some computer-related projects that I need to be working on. I am finding that after work and working out, I just don't have a lot of time or energy left to do much else! Probably turning off the TV is the answer... it's just nice to sit down and relax in front of the tube sometimes.
Productive week boogaloo! (oh, and feel better, MM & V :flowerforyou: )0 -
Good morning,
V, hope the testing goes well today...and quickly for you.
This week may or not be really crazy for us. DH might need to travel to South Texas for business, in which case we will go visit my family while he's doing that. But we don't know when he will go for sure. It may be that we have to throw things together to go, or we will have a few days to get ready.
Today's goals:
clean up the house
work with Alex(did I tell you all that he knows almost all the ABC's except 2-3?)
eat when hungry, one helping only
stretch stretch stretch (my mid/lower back has been sore for a few days)
and go for a walk
Depending on my strength I may throw in push ups and sit ups.
My size 14's are tight again. I am trying to not to be upset that a year ago I weight 15 pounds lighter and fit into a 12 easily. I'm tired of being obsessed about my weight. I just want to be able to live life, exercising 3-5 X a week, and be a healthy weight. I'm getting off my pity pot. I'll feel better once I get some exercise.
Have a good Monday!

MM - most lower back pain is made better by twists rather than forward bends (though these may feel better at the time) - so rather than touching your toes, lay on your back with the knees up, like you were sitting in a chair, take the knees to one side and then the other (try to keep the opposite shoulder on the ground) - hope that helps.
As predicted, I didn't get yoga in yesterday. Did manage over 6 miles of walking though - not bad for driving for over 7 hours.
Husband got a calorie counter app for his iphone - he counted this past week (always after he ate, never before) - and only went over 22 calories for the week:noway: - and lost 1.4 lbs :noway: - (he wants to lose 4 lbs total) - I told him he sucked.
Today - teaching yoga, bike to store, and walking.

Thanks Mary, I will try that before I go for a walk.
I tell my DH he sucks too when he can drop five pounds in a matter of three days. :grumble: Must be nice to eat whatever you want and not get fat, and not exercise on top of that!
I sure wish I had kept a journal a year ago when I suddenly lost 14 pounds. I think I was working out an hour and a half everyday (or close to it) and eating about 1400 cals or less. Maybe I can build up to working out that long again.
I'd better get ready to go walk. Alex has had his shoes and sunglasses on for an hour, waiting for me while I clean. Good news is the house already looks a lot better! If I just spend maybe another hour on it after my walk then it will be pretty clean!

Monday Boogaloo!
Same goals for me:
~ Be honest with myself this month
~ Get out of my gym comfort zone
Goal for today is a hike outside and working on my 2007 tax audit. Missing Receipts Boogaloo!0 -
Good afternoon everyone! Didn't wake up for breakfast today. Not a good start to the week. I also didn't eat well for lunch so my goal is to finish some stat work, clean my room, and hit up the gym. Whether I have time for all of that has yet to be seen. I go home tomorrow morning to see Paul Farmer who is speaking in my town so I'm super excited for that and hopefully will get some time on the wii as well.0
