Meal Replacement Bars

I had a Met-rx Big 100 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bar after my morning workout today. It has 370 calories, but filled me right up (28gprotein, 6g fat --2.5 sat, 190mg sodium, 50g carbs, only 2 grams fiber though). I'm fitting this into my daily calorie allotment so I can adjust my other meals around this.
My question is this: Is it ok to have this as a breakfast replacement 2-3x a week? Or should I avoid these if possible? Honestly, grabbing one of these things is super convenient for me during the week when I don't feel like putting together something the night before.
Any thoughts / help on this topic would be great!

I don't have the bars but I kinda have the same question about this juice that is kinda like a smoothy called the naked juice. It has about 300 calories but has all the nutrition in it and I have heard it fills you up. Good question thanks for asking it.0

I think the key-word here is "convenience"...sure protein bars are better than fast food, but not as good for your body as REAL food. All of the added chemicals in convenient food has a negative effect on optimum health. In the end, you have to weigh the positive and negatives for yourself and make that choice.
My personal first choice is a clean diet, free of convience food.0 -

Take a look at the sugar, some of those bars are just as much sugar as candy bars. I recommend shakes/smoothies if you're looking for a quick breakfast. That being said i'm guilty of grabbing a Nature Valley Peanut Butter granola bar pack for breakfast some mornings :laugh: (although the sugar is significantly lower than some of the meal replacement bars)
If you're set on meal replacement bars take a look at your Whole Foods / organic stores they tend to have healthier choices as far as meal replacements go.0
