I had a c-section and have the hanging low thing b/c of it; doctor said it would not go away...so I am anxious to hear if anyone has gotten rid of it.0

I kinda have that problem. I had stomach surgery several years before my c-section and they had gone in thru my belly button, when they closed the pulled it kinda tight which left me with a permanent muffin top in the front of my stomach (seriously I was 8 months pregnant with my second child and still had the roll). So after the c-section my lower stomach hangs low but my upper stomach didn't exactly follow. As I've lost weight it's actually a bit more pronounced due to the loose skin but I'm working on toning and am hopeful it will lessen over time.
Sorry no pictures that clearly show it, I'm too embarrassed to have photos of that area.0 -
hey! I had an emergency c section and when i was at my heaviest, 240 lbs, you could see my muffin top when i wore jeans, AND a pooch of fat pressing up against my zipper. I had TONS of extra bloating around my c section scar and above it. I also had the awesome hangy belly. That thing would hang over the clasp of my pants, covering my csection scar and bloat completely. Im at 220 now, so only a 20 lb weight loss and i can see a big difference. I dont have any before pics but I have a recent one of how the hangy belly is now only a little hangy, and the c section poooch is about gone. I still have a long way to go, and im pretty sure i will always have a little loose skin hanging down..but so far so good0

I have had 6 c-sections, one tubal reversal and a hysterectomy (sp?) all in the same site. I have the hanging belly over my scar and when I am thinner I look like I have a "skin shirt" on. Sorry to burst your bubble about losing the overhang but if it helps I never did have real strong stomach muscles any way.0

Thats what I am worried about that it will still hang too low.I am losing either way but it will suck for it to still hang there.0

I have the same concern. I will be slightly depressed if I work hard and get everything else tone and that doesn't go away. I'm trying not to focus on it too much just yet. I have a ways to go before I'm going to be able to tell how that area is going to change. I am trying to save a little money as I go so if I hit my goal, and am tone everywhere else and that won't go away, that I can treat myself to a tummy tuck. If it does tighten up on it's own then I will have the money and can treat myself to a new closet full of clothes or maybe a nice vacation on the beach (where I'm hoping I will be comfortable in a swimsuit in public for the first time in over 10 years).0
