I love the 30DS workouts, but I feel awful silly in most of the strength sections as I don't have any hand weights. I have tried using cans, water bottles, ect but I don't get any kind of burn out of them. I still burn a decent amount of calories during and can feel the burn in my legs and abs from the cardio and abs sections.
My question is, should I keep doing this DVD or should I do something else until I am able to buy some hand weights? TIA.

buy some hand weights, start off small..maybe a set of (0.5) and work your way up, im on day 2 of 30 DS and get a killer burn from my weights i use (3kg weights) and burn a decent amount of calories too..and the strength section elevates you HR when you use the weights0 -
When I am able to I will be buying 2kg weights. The 1kg are too light and 3kg are a bit too heavy to start off with for me.0

I know people who did the whole thing with canned goods and saw some results.0

I found out that when I jumped into it with baby 2lb weights that it was too hard in the shoulder section. I really hurt my shoulder from all the front shoulder raises while it was SOOO easy to do the curls and other stuff! Don't stop the 30DS, its still good for you to do it even if you don't have heavy weights to use for your arms!0

Kinda wish I had thought of that to be honest with you
Honestly if you can find cans, water bottles, weighed gloves, anything that fit confortably in your hands you can use that as weights. It is about what works for you. Itsn't that the reason we do it at home anyway so no one has to see us do these things =p0 -
I have very weak arms and shoulder problems, so I do it with no weights. I would hurt myself if I used any weight.
You should be using a weight that is pretty easy for you to lift, because you will lifting it about 100 times over the course of the DVD0
