Supplements: BCAAs and More

Curious as to what many people take for supplements? I personally take Optimum Nutrition Opti-Women multi vitamin, 1200 mg fish oil, Super B-Complex and BCAA (branch chain amino acids.
I just started taking BCAA capsules today. The instructions say 2-6 a day, between meal and before and after workouts. Anyone else take the capsules? I was drinking XTend and found that to be super helpful for muscle recovery and energy. Hoping for the same thing with the capsules.

Do you like the Optimum BCAA's? I haven't tried it yet, was thinking about it. I'm personally a fan of Modern BCAA, it's in a powder form, tastes pretty good and has been the most beneficial in terms of recovery (after heavy lifting)0

i question the 8:1:1 formula personally. i think you may be better off either using a regular 2:1:1 formula, straight leucine or just protein powder. i may be wrong on that though0 -
Xtend has long been a staple in my supplement rotation and is also highly touted throughout the bodybuilding community. There are several other similar products that I'm confident perform just as well.
Scifit's Glutalyn 1500 has also been a notable performer for me, it's also pretty cheap so that's always a plus.
Optimum's 100% whey and casein are top notch protein powders with quality ingredient profiles that you may also choose to consider adding, if you haven't already.0 -
I drink xtend also, and have also used pills. The drink is better for me, cause it cuts down on other crap i'd drink, and it tastes like juice. I enjoy it.
The pills were ok, but i found it'd be taking a lot or forgetting when to take em. Sometimes while travelling it's more convenient.
For the most part I'd say they're about the same, and will pick up either when they're on sale. I have a few tubs of each.
I stick with BCAAS and protein. When I'm cutting weight, I find the less actual food i eat, the better. I'll supplement whey in for 1/2 my daily intake since I work 8-12 hours a day in a kitchen. If I bring a shake as a meal replacement, it's a much better choice, and I'll have a decent idea of how many calories I'm consuming.
I also only pick up whey when its cheap, either online or at walmart. I remember last summer they had 2.25kg for $5 a tub....I picked up 8 for the majority of the year, since I worked at a fly in camp, with no regular access to groceries or food.0
