Requesting some thought and prayers

My sister called me lastnight to let me know my dad was in the hospital with double pnuemonia. While checking to see if there was fluid on his lungs, which there is alot, they also found spots on his lungs. Now we are playing the waiting game for test results. They've done a tb test which will take a few days to get results and they want to do a MRI to check for cancer but he can't lay on his back or he starts gasping for air.
I am asking for lots of prayers on this. Dad had oral cancer 10 years ago, and cancer is a HUGE occurance in our family. My granmother passed away with bone cancer and great grand-mother with some type of cancer as well. And my grandfather passed away due to pnuemonia. So all in all I'm just scared and hating the fact that I live in another country.
All thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated

My prayers are with you and your family. Please note that I had a friend who had lung cancer, left it untreated for a year (denial) and is now cancer free after finally dealing with it. She amazed all the doctors. As long as there is breath, there is life and there is hope.
Take one day at a time, and hang on. This road is going to get bumpy.0 -
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers!0

I've been there with my mom (breast cancer), so I know how difficult it is to wait . . . and how helpless you can feel. I will continue to send your Dad and your entire family positive thoughts and good vibes -- may you all have the strength and love to get through this difficult time together. :flowerforyou:0

I wanted to say thank you again for the thoughts and prayers.
My mom called this morning with some very hard news. My dad has lung cancer, it has also spread to his stomach and into the lympnodes :brokenheart: I will continue to pray that he is able to recieve some treatment. He is scheduled to see a specialist soon.:sad:0 -
Oh dear - I'm so sorry to hear this news - you must be in a state of shock. Hopefully there will be a good treatment option, and all will be well. Prayers are coming to you. Take good care of those you love, and please keep us updated as you feel you need to share.
Hugs to you my 'neighbour'....
