Re-motivation?

So, for the past month and a bit I have fallen completely off the wagon. I was doing excellent over the summer, and was working out pretty much every day. However, since being back at university I have lost all energy and motivation, and have not worked out in over a month. I feel like I have failed and gone back to square one!

I still want to lose weight and would like to kick myself back into gear.

Basically, what I'm asking is how do you guys motivate yourself to keep going on days you really don't want to, or even how have you re-motivated yourself from slip ups in the past?

Thanks guys :) x

Would love to see some thoughts on this, because I'm in the same boat.. Was doing really well, 10lbs down then my thesis took over and end of term parties and I'm back where I started.. So mad/disgusted at myself but trying to get positive and on track again..

Actually broke my rule about not shopping until I hit 15 lbs lost, because my cloths were making me feel worse.. New jeans that fit well (even if not the size id like) really gave me a boost of confidence that makes everything a bit easer.. So maybe a mini make-over to get you smiling!
  • I lost 15 pounds over the summer, fell off the wagon when work got stressful and I started eating fast food for lunch and stopped logging out of embarrassment.

Finally, once I had gained back about half of it, I decided that I could NOT let myself fall back into the trap. So I started logging again, activated my membership to the wellness center (that I had been putting off) and sat down with my husband to work out a "workout" schedule that we could manage b/t our work and daycare schedules.

I'm just not willing to give up this time. You have to somehow key in on SOMETHING that you want to change so badly that you are willing to cut something out...be it sleep, a couple of TV shows, eating out more than 1-2 times a week, etc. to make yourself do this again.

    Good luck to you!

Accountability! That is what we all need. We need a buddy or a partner that will hold our feet to the fire. The logs are great but find a friend to weigh-in with weekly and work together to achieve your goals... I am looking for a friend like that now... My wife is a big help. Keep on trucking as a 48 year old fat smoking male I can tell you do while your young... You dont want to be like me.
