I posted a pic of my back yesterday. And although I am liking my new muscles from working out. I can't help but notice my gross shoulders! Is that loose skin, or fat, or is it because I'm 38 and getting older?? Is there anything I can do to get rid of it?? I know your answers may hurt my feelings, but that's fine. I just want to make that go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loose skin. I think there are vitamins you can take to help with elasticity.

Keep in mind there will always be loose skin around your arms, because it's necessary for them to move. If it was pulled tight, you wouldn't be able to move your arms. Think of it like the seam around the arm of a shirt- it doesn't fit perfectly because if it did, when you lifted or moved your arms you would tear the fabric.

Everyone's shoulder creases like that when you hold your arms in that position, that's just how yours happens to look.

On the bright side, how often are people really going to see you in that position?

    Back looks great, btw

The wrinkles that apper at the top of your delts when you hit that rear bicep pose? Don't panic. They're supposed to be there. Everyone has them. Except photoshopped bodybuilders.

I have them too--it's an awkward-ish position to be in, so the skin just gathers there. You look amazing, don't sweat the small stuff. I think you look great!!! And we can really see your hard work.

In my opinion, I don't think that's loose skin. I agree with UponThisRock, that's just the way your shoulder naturally creases. I think it's just more noticeable because your arms are lean.

I have noticed my face has more lines in it than it did when I was heavier. They're not wrinkles...more like smile creases.

    They don't bother me.

You look amazing. Don't sweat the small stuff.

In my opinion that all looks normal and good. There's nothing wrong with the way your back or shoulder look in that pic.
  • It looks like it's just b/c you are flexing those amazing muscles! Not loose skin. I love your back! Great job!
