Hi Guys!!
I found this and thought it was so amazing that I would share. I know everyone is stressing about their will power next week but this website allows you to prepick your food and then tells you how far you would have to walk to burn em off.. SO PLAN AHEAD!! know the general nutritional value of the most common foods before you go.. I know when I see the fat content on some of the deserts before.. it keeps me far far away from them

This is great! Thank you for sharing - I found that I won't have to sweat quite as much as I expected!0

Not to bad would be my usual caloric intake for the day so as long as I ONLY ate thanksgiving dinner that day I would be fine...
but I AM in Canada so our thanksgiving was last month
Enjoy my American friends0 -
Wow! I thought I had a conservative meal and it rang up at over 900 calories!0

hahah! Thanks for the link! Here's what I plan to eat!
One mixed drink, One glass of wine, One ounce of potato or tortilla chips, Six ounces of cured ham, Six ounces of white and dark turkey, Six ounces of prime rib, A slice of pumpkin pie, ...that comes to 1670 calories. You will need to walk 16.7 miles, 26.93 kilometers, or 33400 steps, assuming you cover one mile in 2,000 steps.
I will have to go biking twice during the week!0 -
Wow - way to put it in perspective! Our usual fixins plus a couple pieces of pie gets me almost as many calories as I'd eat for a whole day! The plan is to do some yardwork before we eat though so I think I'll be ok. Maybe go for an after meal walk too...0

thank you! it defenitely comes in handy!0

Thanks! Great idea!0

Thanks! Hubby and I need to get up early and go for an extra long bike ride that day!0
-
Wow! It tells me I have to walk 9.45 miles to burn all of those calories! I will have to think twice about what I put on my plate!0
-
Thanks for posting. I checked it out. About 1500 cals for me. Not as bad as I thought.

UH!!! I think thanksgiving dinner will be the only thing I eat that day!!! An I think I will be doing 60 minutes of cardio later in the day to burn some of it off!!0
-
Yikes! 1570 for my total. Oh well it is all worth it if you plan to work it off in the end. This year I am cooking for myself and the leftovers so Maybe I will plan to just space my one meal into three smaller ones.0
-
I have to walk 25 miles! LOL Guess I'll rethink my choices. Thanks for the heads up!0
-
oh man. glad I am doing the turkey day run!0

I think it's all about portioning it right. I plan to work out (if the gym is open on base) Thanksgiving morning/afternoon or if it's closed, eat good & exercise a good amount the week prior before & after.0
