Your Motivational Song

I am looking for a song to play that will remind me of why I am doing this, to keep me on track, and give me motivation when I am lacking.

What are some of your motivational songs that get you going?

  • This is my motivational song "Fade Away" by 12 Stones! I'm not sure what your favorite type of music is but 12 Stones is a Christian Rock band that i absolutely love. I can honestly say every song I have of their's is awesome. I hope you like this one. I've posted the lyrics below. This song used to come on my IPOD at the end of my long distance runs and the part in the song that says "I WON"T FADE AWAY" just inspired me not to give up (or fade away). It is basically telling me that it's tough but I have god and I can get through the pain. I know you can too! It also makes me think of someone who's challenged my in life and it's like you're telling them in the song that they can't bring you down just because they don't believe in you.

    "Fade Away" 12 Stones

I need you to feel exactly like I do inside
But I feel so alone again
I try to find a better life
    Somewhere far away from here
But I need you to believe in me

    But I won`t be afraid
Just because you don`t need me
    I will not be ashamed
Just because you don`t believe in anything that I say
Now I turn and I walk away from you

    I won`t fade away
    I won`t fade away again

I find you down the road that I have walked before
And I know you`re alone again
You try to find a better life
    Somewhere far away from here
But I need you to believe in me

You try to make me fade away

For angry stuff, I like Disturbed, Rage Against the Machine, Godsmack, Linkin Park, and Slipknot... esp the song "Duality" recently... I'm the same way with needing angry music!!!

Found a new one thanks to the GI Joe trailer I saw at the movies tonight (I took my son to see Hunger Games). It's a Dubstep version of Seven Nation Army. Sadly, not a speaker in the house can do it justice, but it's still fun to work out to.
  • That was totally what I listened to yesterday as I got back on the workout mode. It is Disturbed that made me go around the track again.

  • One of my favorite 'angrier' songs that I listen to when I want to get pumped up during a work out is 'O.G. Loko' by Of Mice and Men. It's not too angry and has really great lyrics (plus his voice is AMAZING) "Meet my dedication, inspiration, it may be smothering you, but you know it's the truth." Get's me absolutely pumped up every single time :) Hope you find the perfect song!
