Question about Food & Exercise?

OK so i get the whole tracking your calories part...but what I dont understand is.. when you put your exercise in you get more calories to eat?? Isnt the point of losing weight to work out more than you eat?
I am just confused.. i havent been putting in my exercise because i dont want it to allow me to eat more...
Sorry if that was confusing.. Hope someone understand!!

MFP advises ypou eat back your excercise calories..its a debatable topic on here some people do and some people dont...both sides have success..I personally do not eat mine back..per my physician...I suggest trying to eat half and see if it works for you..nothing is set in stone...MFP is a guide..good luck!!0

The reason MFP is encouraging you to eat back your exercise calories is that it has already built in a calorie deficit for you based on the data you entered initially. After you've eaten back your exercise calories your still consuming several hundred calories less than you've spent (assuming you entered your activity level & other data correctly).
That said, I tend to slightly overestimate my food calories and underestimate my exercise calories. It's been working for me.

Make sure you are eating at least 1200 cals AFTER your exercise cals are taken out of your daily intake, so if you consume say 2000 cals but worked off 500 cals, then your net cals is 1500. Especially when you don't have much to lose, like you, if you go below that you won't lose weight and in fact might gain.0

OOO so the point is to eat all your 1200 calories..
Otherwise i wont lost.. and possibly gain..
That might be the issue.. i have been on this for a while and never lost any weight.. actually gained..
Ok so from now on I will make sure i am eating 1200 calories a day.. and i have to be honest!!!!!!!!!!!
