Good morning everyone. I am new this is my 4th day on MFP. I've entered in my information, and MFP has my calorie goal as 1340, my BMR is 1474. I have been faithfully keeping track of everything I consume and all the excercise I do every day. My question is... should my remaining totals be in Green, or Red??? this is very confusing, and I really could use some help with understanding this whole process...... I appreciate any input anyone could give me... Thanks!!!

If you are talking about your calories remaining, then it would need to be green, think "go", and if they are red think "stop" because you have used your daily allotment. Hope this helps.

It depends... Mostly, calories should be as close to 0 as possible, preferably in green (positive).
If you are trying to lose fat and gain muscle, your protein should be in red (negative).
If you are just trying to lose weight, try to stay in green but as close to 0 as possible on every number.
These are your goals - you should try to meet them.
On your home page you will have a breakdown:
Calories ramaining - that should be close to O on positive side (green)
Daily goal + exercise cals - food = net calories - that should be your goal of 1340 cals. Make sure your net calories are never below 1200.

You should try to stay in the GREEN, but don't eat less than 1200 calories/day. Try to eat what MFP has calculated for you. Hope this helps. Best of luck, honey!!
