You! On a Diet.... By Dr. Rozen and Dr. Oz. I love this book. I use it usually as a reference. It breaks down all the Dr. verbage so you will have a true understanding of how your body works with different foods and exercises.

    Enjoy!
  • Ok ! Not sure if you have ever heard of her but I love Jen Lancaster. Her last book was titled
Such a Pretty Fat and it's just so funny it will have you rolling on the floor in laughter ! Her new book is out in May ( not sure of the name of it ) You can read about her at jenlancaster.com

    Great stuff :)

    American authors.
bluest eye (tony morrison) -- intense, but good.
the sound and the fury (william faulkner) -- also intense, also good.
bonesetter's daughter (amy tan) - good, not as intense
Life of Pi (Yann Martel) -- out there, but good.
    Housekeeping (Marilynn Robinson)
Wise Blood (Flannery O'Connor) -- Intense. good. (short story collection "a good man is hard to find" also very good)

    My favorite classics:
    Jane Eyre (Bronte)
    Tale of Two Cities (****ens)

there are oh so many good books.

It is super good, and I have just finished the sequel, World Without End, and it is just as excellent as the first one. VERRRRRRRY good!! Don't let the size intimidate, you will be sad when it is over.

OMG! I know jsut the book. My mom read it a long while ago. It is called: Skinny *****. I forgot who the author was. But it is a funny book. Makes you think a whole new way about the food you are eating. It's great. my mom just ordered it for me too. So I will be reading it soon. It is about 224 pages long and I'm sure you and your buddies will like it.
