I need to start working out more. I'm good with cardio, but I don't know what to do for strength, since I'm used to using the machines at the gym (had to cancel my membership b/c it was too expensive). I have some dumbells and an aerobics step thing and a yogamat I think too. I really want to increase muscle mass and decrease body fat percent...my scale tells me that i'm like 22%

resistance bands work really well. There are several exercises on exercisetv.com that can help with strength training. Also using your own body weight by doing pushups, lunges, squats, etc works really well. I hope this helps0

I started using kettlebells about a year and a half ago. Amazing workout, minimal space requirement and incredible results. I highly recommend checking kettlebells out!

You cannot build muscle mass by using resistance bands. You need to lift heavy to build, you need weights, whatever is heavy for you...start there, rep it out 8-12 rep 3-5 sets...when this gets easy up the weight.0
