just a note to introduce myself. I am Cheryl,I'm 53 a mom and wife. I am looking to lose some weight but it had to be a way I could stick to for always. I am at an age if you roost you rust! I am looking forward to being in shape again...I haven't been fit since I had my son(10lbs)
at age 42. I also quit smoking a few months ago so instead of endless snacking I've learned to enjoy an apple or plIn popcorn

Hi Cheryl~
Welcome to the MFP family. I too am 53 and have been here since May (I think) and I've lost 60 pounds. A friend told me
about this site and I though how could this possibly work...but it does.
There are so many wonderful people here to help and encourage you.
Best of luck!

Hi Cheryl,
My name is Lou - I too am a wife, mother and full time employee. I am 49 yrs of age staring 50 square in the eyes for next year. I just recently joined MFP and I really want to make changes. It would be great to have good friends to motivate and commiserate with. Please add me as a friend if you like.
Good Luck with your journey0 -
