Calories counting watches

Hello every one, I am new at all this and could use some help with something. I went to wal- mart and got one of there calories counting , burn watches. now i have people telling me that they are not accurate. so should I use it or not. HELP PLEASE

I hear the ones from walmart aren't that accurate. If you want one thats accurate you'll have to invest a little more money into it.
People on this site recommended me the polar ft4, and the cheapest I found was $60 on Amazon. It works really well, I love it so far0 -
can you tell us more about the product? brand, style, functionality, etc
and are you going to use it to monitor aerobic exercise? anything else and it's not reliable0 -
The ones with a strap that goes around your chest are the most accurate kind0

If it does not have a chest strap it is not very accurate. I have one from Wal-mart with a strap and it (Sportline) and it works fine.0

polar ft4 was it hard to set up? I have the walmart on and still can't get it set up right. I have the one with the chest strap.0
