Our families and their support

Hi all
So here's something I've been wondering about.
I have many people around me, my significant other and most of my immediate family, who have no issues with food or weight.
Given that I've spent 20 years of my life on one weight-loss endeavour after another, they have spent the same amount of time trying to be supportive of me. But the thing is, I'm never sure what the best thing is for me to ask them to do!
My partner, in particular, wants to help. We've been together nearly 4 years. When we first got together, I was on "Celebrity Slim", a low-carb diet with meal replacement shakes. I had lost 13kgs just before we got together and I weighed 80kgs. I was happier than I'd been in a while and wanted to lose more. But life got in the way, as it does.
Fast-forward 4 years, numerous 'on again off again' diet ventures. Last week, upon joining MFP, I weighed 101kgs.
My partner loves me no matter what and he never hesitates to show that. But what support can he, my friends and family best give me? I haven't even told him about finding MFP, because I have no doubt that, like every time before, he'll be enthusiastic and encouraging, but probably know that it's only a matter of time before I come off this wagon, too.
I don't want someone else watching what I eat, nudging me to exercise or anything like that, unless THEY are going through it, too. My partner and my mother (both beanpoles!) want to help but I resent having to try so hard while they have none of the same issues.
Has anyone else struggled with this? What do you find is the most useful thing to ask of your loved ones, in terms of support?
[Sorry for the long post - I rambled a bit...]

Bump.
OK, in a nutshell, what do your families do to try and help you, and what do you WISH they would do/not do?0 -
Hiya Bex
I can totally empathize with you.
I don't have a magic answer but with me there is an element of embarrassment as I feel my partner must be thinking " here we go again". He is very supportive but I think I have realized that basically it is down to me. No one puts food in my mouth but me and only I can workout my body!!
I suppose the only you can ask for is something you are getting and that is unconditional love and support. I appreciate that other may have friends and families that undermine them and won't support there efforts.
We need to count our blessings and keep healthy to have the best life with our partners.
