Another off the wall question. What would cause one side of my body be 1/2 inch or so larger than the other? I have lost over 9.5 inches total in my neck, waist, and hips. That's all MFP seems to be interested in (as far as I can find) I did measure my arms, thighs, chest, etc too. My right side is larger than my left and I am RIGHT handed... any suggestions

My right calf is an 3/4 to 1 inch bigger. If you google it, seems to be common.

hhhhmm you should try using dumbbell workouts and try to even that. Don't stop working your stronger parts, just train them with less intensity.
  • I think it's normal...I know that one of my legs is slightly longer than the other, and other body parts aren't exactly the same size either...it's human.

I was told once that if you are right handed, then your right side would be a little larger. Same for lefties. I am left handed and my left side is larger. Weird.

Agree with above. Also you can add other measurements if you want besides what MFP has listed. When you go to "weigh in," there is an option at the bottom to "change measurements." Click on that and you get an option to add whatever you want.

Asked my doctor about that and she assured me that one side being a bit larger is common and normal, we aren't really perfectly symmetrical.

Even if you do not realize it, you are using that side of your body more than the other. When you walk you power with the right, when you reach for a door....
