amish friendship bread substitutions?

my sister-in-law gave me a starter kit and i have made the first batch. i love this bread (i make it into muffins). however, this recipe called for a package of vanilla pudding added to it. i've made amish friendship bread in the past and don't recall adding that to the batter at all. is this a part of the standard recipe or can i skip it next time around?

this round, i made a dozen regular, a dozen chocolate chip and a dozen banana. any other deviations from the original recipe that i should try?

    You might check the amish friendship bread page on Facebook. They are always sending me ideas. Haven't started any yet. But there has been some low fat ones come across. Just an idea. :smile:
