    im a member of a "meet-up" group from www.meetup.com that is having an "orphan's dinner" on thanksgiving and Christmas, for those of us who have no one to share the day with. Maybe you can find a group fo people that you have something in common with to meet with, or like others said, volunteering is always a good thing.

    I think the volunteering is a good idea, youll be helping others which is always good ideas and it would help you feel not lonely.

    I love the idea of visiting a nursing home for the holidays. It is really sad how many of our elders are forgotten after all they do for their families.
