Chocolate is not my friend and defeats me easily. With that being said I am still having my chocolate. This is really helping me keep on track. Now yesterday was difficult for me. Since yesterday was Administrative Professionals Day my company brought in 3 cakes (Large) 2 chocolate with fudge icing and one vanilla.

Now this may not sound like a big deal to some people, but to me it is. I decided with the calories I had left for the day I would have more then enough to have one piece and still have dinner with no problem. Ladies and Gents I had 1 that's right only 1 piece and it was amazing. Did I want more, sure. But I never did get up for a second piece. Oh, they had ice cream too which I did not partake in since chocolate cake is more worth it to me.

So, did I do good?

I think you did great. I know how hard it is, every day I walk into the office at my school (I'm a teacher) and there is all kinds of things there that I don't need to be eating. It takes a lot of self control to think before you eat and make a choice based on what is best for you and not what is in front of you. I think you did really well. Thanks for posting about your struggles it helps to know that you are going through te same things and doing well.

Oh, you did FABulous! You've made that all-important step to self-discipline. It's fine to have a treat here and there, and you went a step beyond and had the control and willpower to stop at "enough."

Gosh, you have every reason to be proud today.

I was looking thru posts and found the Chocolate Cake Thread, and I must confess, I went all out on Saturday and had two pieces of cake. .ice cream too, BUT, I refused my hostess's attempt to send the remainder of the cake home with me, :noway: which would have been a fatal mistake, even though it was my birthday cake!

I also doubled my walking distance today and went easy on calories to offset any damage done on Saturday.:flowerforyou:
