recommendations?

I really am not looking to lose a ton of weight, maybe between 5-10lbs. What I really want is to be able to see my ab muscles etc. I want to look toned and strong, but not"muscular" per se. Should I eat maintenance and workout a bunch or should I still be eating a deficit and workout on top of that? I want to decrease body fat % and lose inches but not necessarily lose pounds. I'm confused!!

    I would suggest setting your goal to lose 0.5lbs/week and make sure you eat all of the calories that MFP gives you, including the cals you burn from exercise. the smaller your deficit is the better chance you will retain your lean muscle as you lose fat, a larger deficit may cause you to burn muscle along with fat.
