Anyone have Timex Race Trainer HRM?

I know most poeple on here recommend Polar. However, the reason I'm leaning toward the Timex Race Trainer HRM is that it has up to 5 interval timers where you can set different heart rate zones for each interval. Since my main reason for wanting a HRM is to do interval training where I would be alternating intervals of a high heart rate (such as 85%-95%) with recovery periods (such as 60-65%) I'm leaning toward a Timex since as far as I can tell none of the less expensive Polars have interval timers.
So does anyone own a Timex Race Trainer? I've already read the reviews on Amazon but am looking for more imput from folks here who might have one. Would you recommend it? Why or why not?

I had the timex before, and went with Polar this time. yes, I would say Timex has some cool features, with intervals etc (but I didn't ever really use them).
I find the Polar is also more accurate with HR and cals burned.
personally in terms of HR, I think Polar can't be beat0 -
I used Timex for the last 5 yrs and have gone through 3 watches--I am switching brands! The race trainer was my last one and it didn't even last a year!
over the last week, the display on the watch has been fading in and out, and it was constantly losing my heart rate, I changed the batteries in both my chest strap and watch, it worked for one day--and today, nothing! I am protesting Timex!0 -
I have the TIMEX zone trainer. I like it for different reasons. It has an "in zone" indicator and you can choose to have it beep when you hit your zone and like you indicated it has 5 heart rate zones which you can set up manually. The calories burnt seem to be accurate and its easy to use. My only regret was not spending a bit more money to get the TIMEX race trainer for online tracking.0

yes the polars can give you info on different interevals just read up on the models on the polar page.
the timex is fine but the calories are exagerated...they dont ask for your gender and i think they calculate them based on a man's metabolism. polar was much more accurate. this one has multiple zone measurement
