This is a punkin pie recipe that your dogs will enjoy, mine love it.

Ingredients:
9" pre-made pie shell
2 cups pumpkin pie filling
1 cup part skim ricotta cheese.

Bake the pie shell empty and let it cool.

Mix the ingredients and spread into the shell.

Cover and allow to chill in the fridge for several hours.

Slice into pieces for your pooch.
When its chilled it doesn't taste bad, but not good enough to really tempt you and supposedly its pretty good for your dogs.

I've heard a lot of really great things about pumpkin for dogs, but less awesome things about dairy for dogs.

Our vet had us giving the dogs pumpkin in the hopes that the puppy would stop eating all the "snickers" left in the yard. Alas it did not work!

We enjoy giving them attention when we are home, its a way for the family(humans) to bond also.
They are three relatively small dogs. One is so small she has to stay in the house so a bird doesn't carry her away.

I have read that it is very good for their digestive system... especially when you have one with a funny stomach!

Ah.... But the REAL question is Redi-whip or Cool Whip? Don't tell me you whip cream from scratch for him?

My dogs get REAL pumpkin that has been roasted in the oven. I would never feed my dogs grains that are included in the pie crust.

    Dogs should never eat grains.
I don't even eat those grains myself.

Yes I am... rescued him from a barn when he was a tiny pup... nothing but skin and bones... now he is an 11 year old dog in great health that spends too much time sleeping on my king size bed. Eats his Ol'Roy and loves it... chews his bone.. loves that too.

I can promise you I would never bake for my dog, or make him wear clothing....

Good for you...I bake for my dog at Christmas (carob bark) but I want to slap anyone that dresses their pet up. That's akin to child abuse, IMHO.

My mom dresses her dog but he's hairless and gets so cold in the Winter that it seems abusive not to put a jacket on him.

Oh, for Jesus does everyone on this site take everything so damn seriously?

I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule when it comes to dog dressing.

No cream of any kind, the ricotta was enough and they don't know better.
    They did love it though.
Instead of putting it in a bowl, we put slices on a small plate for each of them.

I was being sarcastic. Ol Roy and other grain based dog foods is the worst you could ever feed them. You might as well feed your poor dog saw dust.

Seems to have worked for the past 11 years... not going to mess with it now.
