small NSV for me

i am usually terribly hard on myself and constantly feel like people are looking at me and thinking "she is so overweight, disgusting". i often don't leave the house unless i absolutley need to.
that being said, i needed to run errands to day and one of those errands was to purchase a new bra, as my girls are much bigger postparum LOL i ventured into VS to be fitted and purchase one there since I have a VS card and can make payments on it later....i was greeted as soon as i entered the store, pushing my cutie patootie in her stroller and asked if i needed any help. i told the girl i needed to be fitted for a bra and she, without hesitation, pulled the measuring tape out and started to put it around me. she must have noticed the shock on my face because she looked uncomfortable and quickly asked "would you like to go back to a fitting room or is it okay that i measure you here? it will just take about 30 seconds to do." usually i would run screaming out of the store! today i thought to myself....i'm a normal person who is shopping and needs assistance, why should there be special arrangements? who cares if my tatas are super huge? LOL i stood there as she measured me and pointed me in the right direction, grinning from ear to ear.
i'm slowly pushing myself to be okay with where i am at, as far as weight/size goes.

That is so great to hear that you're becoming more comfortable with yourself. You ARE a normal person, and trust me, everyone sees you that way
Realize you're harder on yourself than anyone else is! 0 -

Yeah, that's a HUGE NSV. I completely get what your saying about feeling uncomfortable with people sometimes. I think the biggest thing I have noticed (beside the obvious getting smaller) is that I have a ton of confidence now. I wouldn't look people in the eye or even look around at people when I was out grocery shopping. Now, I look all the time and its okay if they look back...w/e...LOL. It looks like the confidence bug bit you too! Look out, its gonna get better!0
