I have been seeing commercials (but I'm not buying those because I can't, it's only in US and I'm not in the US) I'm just pure curious to whether anyone has tried any weight loss meal plans and services like "Nutri-system" or others I don't remember.

I did weight watchers and lost 30 plus pounds. But that's not really a "meal plan" Tried a few of the nutrisystem meals that a friend had extra of, and frankly hated them. Really gross! I've heard they re-made all the recipes and it's supposed to be better now. My fear of doing just a meal plan is, what happens when I quit and have to eat "normal" again? Will I gain all the weight back? For me, I like the idea of being very free to choose what I eat.

A co-worker of mine tried Jenny Craig or something similar to Nutri-system. She spent, I think, around 150 for the consultation at which they set a meal plan where she then paid around 200 or so for the week of food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner- prepackaged & microwaveable food portions)? And on top of that, she had to spend additional money for the fresh veggies and fruits, dairy, etc. I think she stuck with the diet for, maybe 2 weeks?

I think it would be far more beneficial to get advice from a registered nutritionist than go to one of those programs. It would be cheaper and I think far better for you than eating a bunch of prepackaged processed "meals".

I tried Ideal Protein and stuck with it for about 4 months and lost a considerable amount of weight fast, but it was hard to keep going, expensive, and I ended up having my gall bladder removed after that diet. Even though the weightloss is a lot slower now I'm much happier and having a lot more fun! Especially now that I've got a new group of fitness pals!

I use the 6 week body make over. Which is a program you need to buy. They give you an eating plan. But not the food you buy all your own food all fresh fruits and veggies and lean protiens. I lost 17 pounds my first 6 weeks. And i've been counting calories the past two weeks and after thanksgiving plan to start again and lose my last 10 pounds! :)

I did the Advocare 24 day challenge. It's not a food system, it's a supplement sustem.mi lost 8.5 lbs and a combined total of 12.5 inches in 24 days. I love advocare products. They're fantastic.

Does it set out a list for you to buy foods and cook from scratch?
