Definitely not low calorie density

For breakfast, I had 500 calories of peanut butter. Licked off a spoon. (I was hungry.)
I'm screwed for the rest of the day, I thought.
But, I haven't been hungry for the past seven hours.
Maybe I've got to think outside the box. I've been eating apples, oatmeal, and cashews for breakfast for weeks and find myself hungry two hours later. To have calories for later, I've been trying to eat only 350 calories for breakfast, but then all I think about is food and I over eat at lunch! Maybe it's just better to binge on the PB!

i usually have at least one slice, or sometimes two, of toast with PB on it along with a piece of fruit for breakfast. It is low volume, but very filling and keeps me full until lunch pretty easy most days.

If I don't have some fat and protein for breakfast I am starved an hour later, peanut butter is a common breakfast food for me. My meals are usually about 400 calories, with a good chunk of that fat and protein - if I do that, I am usually fine until lunch, maybe a small snack inbetween. So go for the peanut butter girl, just maybe have something besides a spoon with it:tongue: .

Uh, I'm not discouraged. I'm just saying maybe I have to think differently. Fruit isn't going to cut it!
And I burned 550 calories yesterday, thanks.

I find that if I eat foods like eggs, cheese, and yes, peanut butter it is much easier to stay within my calories. It is the empty calories that screw you...toast with butter for breakfast is a waste of time and means death to the diet...but peanut butter is a whole new ball game!

I found it's just better to eat what you want in the first place because you eating around it just doesn't work.
I found if I eat when I am hungry even if I go over a couple days later I go under by the same amount. Your body needs differing amounts of calories on different days especially when exercising.

depends on the toast...a slice of whole grain bread with a little smart balance with my smotthie in the morning helps me get through the gym.

Its all about finding what works for you and doing it!

I put some peanut butter in my oatmeal sometimes. Adds extra protein, healthy fats and is yummy! Would maybe be good with fresh berries or something along with the PB! Kind of like a PB & J in a bowl - only healthier!

I love a banana or an apple with peanut butter! so good, and keeps me full, i usually have that for a snack though.

or you could make a banana smoothie and add some peanut butter to it.

I eat natural pb with raisins on a spoon just about every morning. It's my standard bfast. It keeps me going for at least 4 hours, which is good for me. Some people thrive on a pure carb meal but I do better when I combine protein & fats with my carbs. You might too. Here's a pretty good article on pb ...

Really? cause i have toast every morning and I find it fits fine into my diet. I usually have WW bread or light rye bread and they are never over 300 cals which i think is a pretty darn good breakfast!

I often have WW bread and 1 tbsp of PB for my morning snack.. For some reason in the morning I usually cannot stomach anything but cereal. I have a 3yo who will only eat PBJ's for lunch, so I get plenty of peanut butter "leftovers" lol.
Eggs and PB are my diet secrets in that they keep me fuller longer. Oh, and tuna. Must be the protein.
