I just had my lunch, and I was full, and in about 15 to 20 minute, I'm straving! WHY!!
Any suggestion? Yes I do drink ALOT of water to help less hunger, but it's isnt working tonight... hmmm odd!
Thanks!

It depends on what you ate. Everyone's body metabolises food differently. If I have rice or pasta then I start to get hungry about 30 minutes later. Maybe this is your body's way of saying that you need to add something to the meal to make it stick.0

Hmm.. read my diary is there something missing?? I dont mind help!! It's odd that I eat them all the time and dont get this excess hunger as I do now.. As I am trying to set my schedule since Im working and Im trying to keep my food in one day instead of 2 day... challenging for me!
Thanks!0 -
Try more protein.0

Is this an every day occurrence? In which i would say stack more cals and breakfast and lunch, less at dinner.
If this is an occasional thing... Some days are just hungrier than others.
Lunch make sure you are getting enough protein and fiber

Try more protein.
Can't see your diary but this will most likely be the problem.0 -
Any idea what snack would be high in protein and fiber? Something quick I can snack on break time?? I work at night from 10p to 7a... so tonight is my night off and it's driving me insane to decide what to snack on!
Any idea?? Thanks!0 -
Are you eating enough? Are you eating your exersise calories?

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/61706-guide-to-calorie-deficit
Go to the tools section and figure out your BMI:
Generally someone with a BMI over 32 can do a 1000 calorie a day (2 lbs a week) deficit
With a BMI of 30 to 32 a deficit of 750 calories is generally correct (about 1.5 lbs a week)
With a BMI of 28 to 30 a deficit of 500 calories is about right (about 1 lb a week)
With a BMI of 26 to 28 a deficit of about 300 calories is perfect (about 1/2 lb a week)
and below 26... well this is where we get fuzzy. See now you're no longer talking about being overweight, so while it's still ok to have a small deficit, you really should shift your focus more towards muscle building, and reducing fat. This means it is EXTRA important to eat your exercise calories as your body needs to KNOW it's ok to burn fat stores, and the only way it will know is if you keep giving it the calories it needs to not enter the famine response (starvation mode).
This is just a part of it! please read the link above0 -
I think your diary may be friend's only so I can't see it...
If this is a meal you've had in the past without this issue, maybe it has to do with your schedule. Are you more active or getting less sleep? If you sleep less your body will want more food to keep you awake.
Sometimes you just have to pay attention to how your body responds to what you eat.0 -

boiled egg. Boil half a dozen and keep em in the fridge for a quick snack0 -
I would probably go for something like apple (or any fruit really) and cottage cheese. It's a good way to get in a fruit, protein, calcium, and fiber. Helps if you want something sweet too.0

If you are hungry so soon after a meal, either you're not eating enough either you're eating the wrong foods. Try upping your protein intake and if that doesn't work, try upping your general caloric intake.0

Could you share with us exactly what you consumed? Cant see what you logged...0 -
A civilized guess: If you have lately started to exercise more than before or have now more muscles than before, you might burn the eaten calories faster since your muscles use them to build up. Do eat your exercise calories to have enough building material!
Different foods digests differently. If I eat a lot of carbos, especially in sweet form, it is very fast that I feel like eating again. If I eat a protein rich meal, it keeps me full and satisfied much much longer. You might wanna try cut down pasta, rice, bread and add a little more meat, chicken, pork, tuna, fish, ... Instead of pasta, rice and bread you can add more veggies to get fuller feeling if your stomach feels "half-empty" after such meal. But stomach also gets smaller and smaller along the way so same amounts than before start to be impossible anyway. :-)0 -
Thanks everyone for input. I end up eating oatmeal, that's only thing I have on my food shelves that's consider healthy.
Tomorrow is my shopping day so will be better.
Have a great day and take care!
Anyone want to be my friend, add away! I'm always open to options and ideas!!
Thanks!!

What did you have for lunch? If it was straight up carbs with no protein that would explain why you got hungry so fast again.0
-
It could be the water, actually. Drinking enough water is good and will help you feel full, but drinking too much can increase hunger. The more water in your body, the faster you will metabolize the food you're eating. In other words, it moves more quickly through you. That's a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing if you want to feel satisfied for awhile after eating.0

My trainer recommended a few slices of lean deli honey ham and a low fat string cheese...total cals under 200 and the protein from the meat & cheese helps keep you full.0
