I'm a stay at home mom to a 1 yr old. I'm trying to maintain my current weight. I had myself listed as lighty active but changed it to sedentary. Since I changed it I have gained a small amount. Could it be that I'm not eating enough? I have also been doing 30 shred and 6 week 6 pack. Could it just be water weight from working out?
Any imput would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Edit: I alternate days for the workout DVDs, I don't do both each day. I active play, crawling around the floor, "wrestling", carrying her, cooking, cleaning.

Thanks again everyone!

Your definitely not sedentary if you chasing after a 1 yr old and doing that much exercise. So yea you could be eating too little or you could be gaining muscle. Do measurements.
  • What sort of things to you do with your 1 year old, do you do active play?

I find that if an exercise makes me ache, that I will likely have held onto a bit of water. Keep your fluids up.

If you're not immobile a majority of the day, definitely not sedentary. If you're usually on your feet but never anything strenuous, probably lightly active

To me, sedentary means you sit for most of the day. As a SAHM, I do sit a bit, but I'm mostly on my feet playing, doing dishes, doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, up the stairs, down the stairs, etc. I have mine set as lightly active.

I have a 17month old and SAHM, I have myself as lightly active. With a 1yr old it's hard to be categorized as sedentary :) hope this helps!
  • I'm a SAHM as well (to a 2 y.o. boy). I definitely think you need to change your activity level!!! I would not consider your activity level sedentary!!
