I was just craving something sweet. Coffee cake, to be precise. In my best attempt, I made two slices of light bread toast (70 cals, 1 gram of fat, 5 grams of protein and 9 net carbs (14 total carb minus 5 grams of fiber).

I sprayed it with buttery spray (5 calories) and topped each slice with a packet of Ideal sweetener (you could use Stevia or Splenda or whatever) and some cinnamon.

75 calories and 5 grams of fiber and protein, and almost no fat! It really hit the spot!

(Yes, you're probably like... seriously? Why is this ***** putting up a recipe for toast?... but it was so good and just saved me from eating a 350 calorie cinnamon donut. Now THAT'S magical!)

:D

That actually sounds really yummy... I have the same trouble finding genuinely tasty low cal treats, definitely up for trying this one! Thanks for sharing!

That really sounds good I grew up my mom sometimes made this exact thing only with white bread and the real sugar and butter and we probably ate like 3 or 4 pieces, so that does sound good for a quick snack

bump, thanks... this is a great idea, I've done similar with a tortilla and place in the oven then roll it up, but definitely less calories using the bread! Also gave me an idea for the kids snacks since they are home all week long :)
