Lately I've been floundering and not doing as well as I would like. So today we bought not 1 but 2 whole chickens. I spent the better part of an hour cutting up veggies and arranging everything in 4 cassarole dishes so we'd have great dinners and lunches for the rest of the week. (I work exceptionally long hours today and tomorrow)

And guess what?

An hour and a half later when i went to check on it -(starving for dinner and looking forward to something delicious and nutritious)
And discovered my effing oven is broken.

Now I've got 4 cassarole dishes stuffed with food - that I can't eat!!!

AAAARRRGGHHH!!!!

Thank you for letting me vent... le sigh...
:explode:

Ugh... that really sucks! Do you have family or neighbors who will let you use their stove?

My oven went out on me Halloween night with a house full of people as I was waiting to broil my flank steak at the last minute ...

    I TOTALLY FEEL YOUR PAIN!

Do you have a crock pot? I'd throw it all in there and slow cook it. If not can you borrow one?

A convection oven might also work, although it would take a very long time.

thanks everyone. I'll see if I can borrow my mom's oven tomorrow before I go to work and do up the veggies at least, and my hubby can pick it up after he's done work.
Plus as much as possible is going to go in the freezer.
it sucks but what can you do. these things happen right?

    oh well, onwards and upwards.

    I feel your pain.

Put them in the freezer until your oven is fixed.
