needing some support

Looking for some support ! Since the weather has turned cold,, I have not been exercising and my diet has gone down the tubes too. I need to get motivated and back on track. Looking for motiviating friends, tips and ideas for exercise and diet.:cry:

  • Trust me when I say I know how you feel. I'm having the hardest time finding the motivation to exercise. You're going to have ups and downs. Just hang in there. Even if you have those days where you have no motivation, a 20 minute work out is better then nothing at all :)

    I'm struggling with the motivation, too. I drug myself to work out today after work, though, and I feel great about that! So, I'm just trying to establish a workout plan I can live with, track my intake regardless of how I feel and hope the motivation follows the action! :) I'm new to MFP, too.

    This time of year is the worst . Everything tells your body to slow down and conserve energy. Short circuit those feelings by finding exercise you can do and look forward to ( a good 45 - 60 minute walk at a brisk pace through a park or lake setting for instance ) and that will start your loss again . The next bad part is controlling the caloric input because your body wants to "hibernate "during these shorter days of winter . I'm struggling with that right now. Just think of the results you want , set short term goals , and concentrate on one day at a time. MFP friends really help , be sure to log in once a day , and use that as an accountability tool. You've got this ... Believe in you !
