Come out! Come out! Come out! Your silence is no longer required. :flowerforyou:

The LGBT+ Group is growing every day. It's in the Top 5 of most populous groups so far, and I know that there are more of you out there lurking in the shadows wondering if it's really safe to come out. It is! :drinker: The MFP environment has changed dramatically recently, and it's only going to get better in the future.

This group is a safe haven in which the LGBT+ community can discuss what is affecting their lives, relationships, careers, etc.
You are welcome here if you're lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, questioning, intersex, asexual, pansexual, queer, gender queer, gender neutral, gender variant, polyamorous, closeted, out, androgynous, straight ally, friend/supporter of the community, undefined, supportive parent/guardian/family of LGBT+ persons, or if you simply don't fit a label, don't like labels, or you're just interested in learning about the community.

Feel free to openly discuss whatever is on your mind here, but be respectful of all members, follow all MFP and group rules, and remember that bashing of any kind is unacceptable.

Have fun!

Unfortunately, we have seen that topics about any of these subjects are highly likely to result in heated arguments and disputes. Wouldn't call this a topic of discussion as much as an invitation for people to join a safe, like-minded community on the site.

but if your sexuality is part of your stress or whatever that causes you to eat poorly, then it does concern the issues that MFP tries to help with. i understand its a forbidden topic but to say it has nothing to do with weight loss is bs.

@dixiedad Thank you for taking the time to post the OLD rule here. Fortunately for me and this community this post does NOT violate the new guidelines which you should read here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/welcome/guidelines

The administrators of this site have made a lot of changes recently and perhaps the most welcomed of which is the fact that we ARE allowed to post things like this now. Please review the new terms, disregard the old ones, and catch up with progress, yeah?

If after reading this response you still take issue then I urge you to contact Steven, a site admin, who I've spoken with directly on several occasions regarding topics of this nature. You'll find out quickly that the old rule #13 no longer applies.

    Cheers!

See guideline #4: Show Respect. . . . which includes sexual orientation.
