Well I am joining a gym today. I have been looking around and finally decided to do it. I have been walking the mall at lunch and now that Christmas shopping started people are in my way lol. I am looking forward to getting started. Other than my usual walking what in the gym cardio wise would help me?

Thanks

Joe

My gym has something called an Arc Trainer. It's kind of like an elliptical crossed with a stairmaster. I love it! It gets the heart rate up and really works the legs and glutes. I've started using that instead of a treadmill, so it's like I'm getting two workouts in one.

Try to do a combo of both cardio and strength training.

For cardio, I mainly do the treadmill set on varying inclines... It's a very good workout for the lower body.
  • The Arc Trainers and Ellipticals are going to be a great source for a cardio workout. I do an minimum of 1 hour a day of cardio on the elliptical.
