One pudding = 2 pounds!

Well not really but I thought this was very interesting. I finished my food journal last night and the little message announced that if I ate that way every day I would be 135.6 lbs in 5 weeks. Nice! A pound a week.

Later on I was a little munchy and since I had calories left, I grabbed a 120 calorie pudding cup. I logged it and then completed the journal again. This time it said I would be 137.6 lbs in 5 weeks.

Wow! One extra pudding a day could add up to 2 whole pounds in 5 weeks! Makes sense but thought it was interesting...the little choices you make do make a difference.

If you make that same choice every single day for 5 weeks...

Isn't that strange? I put an apple in my journal after closing out and it was a difference of 5 pounds...yes, FIVE pounds! I guess this means I need to eat a pudding cup rather than an apple! ;) LOL
  • 1 pound of fat = 3500 calories. That's why a 500 cal/day deficit translates into losing 1 pound a week.

    120cal/day for 5 weeks = 4.2K cal. 1.2 pounds.

I wonder how the calculator works?
