I'm planning on being out by 4 a.m. That's when the store that has the most of what I want opens.

I love shopping on Black Friday and it has nothing to do with the deals. I get to spend time with my best friends and we meet the best people standing in line. Last year I sat outside Target for 6 hours and had so much fun with the people in line next to me. We all ended up exchanging lists so we could help make sure everyone got what they were looking for. It was awesome. I honestly don't know which part I enjoyed more. The fun I had in line (although it was crazy cold) or the look on my husbands face when he opened the car when I picked him up and found the flat-screen TV I scored for him for his birthday/Christmas present!

    Target: MIDNIGHT!

It's an incentive to eat less Thanksgiving food...you can't be bloated running around the store or anything :noway:

I've never shopped on Black Friday. I hate crowds on a normal day but I may go this year just to see what it's like.

My friend and I use to put black paint under our eyes (like football players), stretched before we left, had our running shoes on, and made a list of exactly what we needed. Although it's only nuts if you're getting doorbuster deals because people camp out.

It's nice if you're out at 5am, because you get back at 8 or earlier (because of planning), eat breakfast, and go back to sleep for awhile!

You couldn't pay me enough to go anywhere near a retail shopping place around this time of year.

SOOOOO true!!!! I was kinda miserable last year. My MIL brought lite hot cocoa and crackers. She said "You need carbs on a day like this." (I don't think she realized I was still running on the carbs from the day before!!! Haha)

Sleep and sanity mean more to me than scoring a few good deals.

I do all my BF shopping online. I generally can get better deals that include free shipping and I don't have to deal with the crazies. Plus I can do it in the comfort of my PJ's.

I'll be one of those crazy people who will be in line at Walmart when the doors open at 10pm... My fiance and I are going for a TV. Otherwise, we would wait until the next morning and hit up FCB (Family Christian Bookstore) at some point that day. Pray for me and my sanity! LOL

I hated it enough when I worked retail, and then the worst it got was staying open til midnight and starting at 6am, not this stupid opening AT 10pm or midnight horsepucky.

I was going to create a Facebook page, but the 'automated system will not approve the name "Only Shopping During NORMAL Store Hours Because I'm Not a Soulless, Materialistic, Greedy *kitten*" because it exceeds our character limit.'

This is the best plan ever. You crazies out shopping at 2 am make me cringe. Nope. No thank you.

I am going. The only reason I go, it's a small town and we have a total of 3 stores that open early. I basically don't have a long list of gifts to buy at Christmas (just my dog and my folks). I get to the stores around 6ish and stroll through the different departments. I usually just buy socks, maybe a movie or two, and some Christmas decor. Nothing really exciting.

I would just like to add that most black friday deals you can get in store also apply to the big chain stores websites... if you plan on going to Walmart or Target you can get the same deals online with free shipping to their store. Save yourself time, sleep and money and go pick it up at store a week later when its not crazy out... just saying...

 I'll be out there. My sisters and I go every year. I'm actually going to be out of town Thursday and just having the Mr drop me off at Target when we get into town at 10:30. It's one of my favorite days of the year! Shopping all day long with my girls. It just doesn't get any better than that.

I'm crossing the border (to the States) on Saturday. BUT, I was born on Black Friday, which I find fitting, since I'm a total shopaholic!

Not me! Best Buy has some online deals that start midnight CST tonight. That's 1 AM where I live. I'm staying up to order a couple of laptops and then going to bed. I just would not be able to deal with the crazies at that time. All the money I'd save would go towards bail I'm afraid.

The people who are going out are TRUE shopaholics and enjoy the adrenaline rush and the satisfaction getting a good deal. You can buy it online but in store you can have it in your possession which is a different feeling altogether. Plus, it feels good to know that you beat someone else...and the lazy *kitten* people who think they can get up at 11am and find something will be depressed because everything that was good is all GONE! Muahahahahahaaaaa (evil laugh)

Too cold! And I have Amazon.

I went one year. It was fun but I was 18. I didn't even spend any money. Broke as a joke but wanted to try the whole event. Not worth it. i was a bit irked seeing poor kids freezing their butts off in strollers all night because the parents were too lazy to pre-plan a baby sitter. Oh, and the lady that screamed at me for bumping into her while thousands of us were trying to get in the tiny mall doors. LOL! She was hilarious as she rants to me, "Don't get up in my grill now, ya hear?" I was like, "This is Idaho! At 1AM. We are COLD. And we are MANY!"

You people are crazy! lol I have to work all day black friday until close... In RETAIL. So I am certainly not getting up any earlier to shop. I'd rather pay more than deal with all the people haha.
