Consistently over on protein and sugar

I've noticed that I've been consistently over my daily allotment for protein and sugar. Is it bad to get too much protein? I know that too much sugar is not a good thing, but most of my sugar comes from fruit (mainly apples and bananas).
My protein is usually over by about 25-30, and my sugar is usually over by 5-15.
Does anybody have any info about this?

I'm interested in replies, too. I'm usually over on my protein and calcium (I'm a milk-hound, what can I say?).0

MFP typically sets protein intake too low, IMO.
Regarding sugars, it depends on how you define what is "bad".
Short answer: If you are staying within your calorie limitations your overconsumption of protein will not interfere with weight loss. If you are non-diabetic and you do not have any form of insulin resistance or insulin related medical conditions, exceeding your sugar limitations will not interfere with your weight loss.0 -
If you are using MFP's default numbers then going over protein (default 15%) then it's fine to be over. I have mine set to 35% for protein.
If your sugars are coming from fruit with all the micro-nutrients and their inherent benefits then don't worry about it, I see the sugar limit as processed sugar limit.0 -

Didn't read other replies (at work) so sorry if I repeat, if you sugars are mostly from fruit, as long as your not eating a huuge amount don't worry about it. I always go over my carbs and/or protein, but the activity I do, it doesn't worry me. I need the carbs for my swimming and netball, and the protein to feed my muscles.. Still close to my goals most days so I'm not worried.0

I changed my protein percent, thought it was way too low. Dropped the carbs and fat a little in exchange for the protein.0

Thanks everybody! This definitely helps. Seems like I'm still on the right track. Should slowly work more activity into my regimen too.0
