So tomorrow I have an interview for a summer job... at McDonalds!

You can laugh, it is sort of ironic!

But it got me thinking, what wacky and crazy, and maybe kind of embarrassing jobs have YOU done to earn extra cash??

I worked at Baskin Robbins all through high school :D

Somehow, I still LOVE ice cream (as you can probably tell from my diary...)

That's not really embarassing at all. My brother worked at Safeway (grocery store) throughout highschool 6-8 years. He was making $15-$16 an hour. Had he stuck it out, he'd be into the $20s by now.

A lot of those places most people frown upon, are good to instill good and safe work ethics and practices. Most have pretty strict guidelines.

    :)

One summer, in late high school, I worked two jobs. In the morning, I worked as an assistant at a vet's office, walking dogs, cleaning cages, messes, etc. In the afternoon and evening I worked at a BBQ restaurant. Between those two jobs, I completely lost my appetite and it was the only other time in my life I have been able to lose weight. I would wait tables at night, be exhausted, come home and sometimes not shower and go to sleep. I would roll out of bed at 5 am and go to the vet to start walking the dogs. Well, the dogs LOVED me because I smelled so great! I still can't eat BBQ and sometimes the smell makes me nauseous...

It wasn't for extra money, but it was a weird job. I used to raise ostrich on an 80 acre ranch in Arizona. I'm probably the only woman you ever met who can wrestle a 300 pound bird to a standstill. Not to mention has performed ostrich autopsies.

My favorite job was the 3 years I worked as a DJ on the radio.

I'm a crime reporter so lots of time I see what you see and I can very much agree. Heartbreaking some times and hilarious others.

One of my favorite crimes was when a train made an emergency stop in our town and in the few hours it was here someone stole 20 cases of frozen pigs' feet. Yup, piggie feeties.

Not really a funny job, but when I tell people where I work I always get strange looks and "you work for a men's magazine?!"
the company name is Maxim and I'm a Home Health Aide. Although I can work naked (I work for my fiance) it's not a requirement! ;)

I was desperate for a job..just left my husband, had a daughter to take care of..I applied to McDonald's and Walmart as a last resort. I'd applied to so many jobs but in my small town, no one was hiring. I interviewed for McDonald's and the day I got offered a job as fry girl Wally called me for an interview. They hired me on the spot and I chose that over McDees. So glad I did..I only had to cashier for two months before I moved into the Vision Center as an Optician. Much better than cashiering!
