Hi I am looking to get myself in better shape than I ever was. I have lost 35lb over the last year but am strugging to lose the last of the love handles.

I am combining a reduced calorie diet with a moderately hard gym program.

Just gotta stick with the program, I'm in the same boat. Just keep a nice slow steady weight loss rate, I do .5 lbs a week, I think it can be slow going to get those last bits off, but eventually it will get there!

Cut your carbs and add the cardio and work you abs at least 4 times a week.
  • Abs Are Made In The Kitchen, Not The Gym! :) no alcohol, fried foods and low sodium, eat low carbohydrates,( you can have cheat meals 1 a week to shock the body as long as they are healthy cheats if that makes sense. meh you can look up more info on bodybuilding.com try Jamies 12 week program most ppl are getting 6 packs from that.. they have a grp on facebook you can join its great ... you can see before and afters.... i been doing it and im getting my abs ~.^"

You don't need to do this. Caloric deficit is all that is necessary. Same rules of fat loss apply to abs as it does for the rest of your body, it comes off when it wants to as you lose fat from eating under your TDEE calories. Going slower ensures you lose less muscle, protein is good as well as someone else said. Helps keep the muscle as you lose the weight.
