hi. i've always been a health and fitness nut, but i just love food too much. i've been lugging around some extra weight around my stomach and legs that i want to get rid of and i've never been serious about any kind of diet plan. i recently lost about 20lbs and now none of my clothes fit. i want to trim down maybe another couple sizes before i go and replace my wardrobe completely.

i'm so happy to have found MFP because this keeps me accountable for what i put in my mouth. plus, it is really cool to interact with all of you who have similar health or fitness goals. if you want someone to keep motivated with, add me!

Welcome to MFP! Enjoy Thanksgiving (we don't have that here in UK) and get on the healthy eating track properly afterwards. :flowerforyou:

I think it's a great time to start. Thanksgiving is just one day........I agree, this is a wonderful site and I can work out and not have to starve myself and consistently lose weight! Welcome.

  • I am contemplating not logging my foods tomorrow, not because I'm going to gorge myself, but because it is going to be very difficult to calculate the calories of what I'm eating as everything is going to be homemade. I actually have been pseudo-dieting on and off for the longest time. I just never particularly took it seriously. I'm glad I found this app/website. I'm really enjoying meeting all of you. and everyone should get a cheat day once in a whole right?

Just eat what you really want just control the portion. Happy Thanksgiving.
  • I am almost in the same boat. I started about 3 weeks ago. I got a real eye opener I normally weigh anywhere between 128-38. Well I stopped working out and my clothes stopped fighting. I went to the doctor on Monday and they said I weighed 148. I haven't weighed that much since after having my daughter. I decided it was time to kick it into gear. I hope everything is going great for you. This website so awesome and so helpful. It's helped me realize my biggest fault is I may not always eat enough, which is almost as bad as eating to much.
  • haha, sometimes that is just how it happens.

Why not try logging, just for your own personal reference so that you can tell how much you have eaten. enjoy the day, but log it. If the food is homemade add the individual ingredients. I'm planning on doing this over Christmas (no Thanksgiving in UK).

    Happy Thanksgiving
