Hi, 37 yr old mommy of 4. After my last baby (who's now 4.5) I decided to get in shape and started doing Denise Austin 5x week... lot my baby weight and got down to 118 (I'm 5.2") a size 2, which was smaller than I had ever been, the best shape of my life. Maintained that for 2 yrs, got rid of all my "fat" clothes... then got lyme disease/babesiosis (another tick borne nasty) which thru my metabolism completely out of whack, and had arthritis in my knees so bad I could barely get up and down stairs. Beat that after about a year, then was dx with a thyroid disorder which they have since said was viral and is gone (although I've got my doubts about that?)
Anyway, now here I am back at (now) 134 lbs. Have started doing Denise 5x a week again, a double shot each day (2 shows back to back) and after a month had lost not a single pound. That was about 2 weeks ago. Trying to figure why, stumbled upon MFP, and it seems as if I'm not eating enough. Was eating under 1200 cals most days. As of day before yesterday, adjusting appropriately! Hope to start losing again now, esp since we're in dire financial stress and have no money for new clothes, have 2 pair of jeans and stretchy yoga pants to wear!
Hard to keep motivated when I can't reward myself tho. Back when I was a 2, I learned to love clothes, and shopping!

Hello,
You said it yourself, your excersising, but not eating enough. A person's metabolism needs food to work efficiently. Thats why a good breakfast is important, and if your able to walk or some other form of cardio in the morning that will kickstart your metabolism. Therefore, the pounds will disappear!
Many people make the same mistake.0 -
Welcome and good luck....just think of how much fun it will be to start fitting back into the clothes you already have! It will be like shopping without spending any money!
Go through your closet and find a favorite outfit to motivate you.0 -
