An acupuncturist once told me the best way to keep from getting sick in the winter was to always cover your neck (scarf, sweater) and take in lots of antioxidants. I've also heard taking lots of vitamin D. What do YOU do??

Run and cycle when it isn't raining, eat healthy nutritious meals, get plenty of rest.0

strangely the same! vit d supplements and keep neck and hands warm (i used fingerless mittens today). also i read an article that the house being cold and dark can lead to feeling down and depression so i'm keepig heat on low and lamps on. it sounds like a waste but depression is a big deal in winter, and makes one less active, leading to weight gain. also i bought zumba dvd's and hotpants (zaggora) so kinda prepped here! (sounds like i'm going into hibernation not:bigsmile:0

Train for a springtime race... half marathon, trail race, etc. If I'm registered & pre-paid up for a marathon in April or May... it keeps me running throughout the winter months because I HAVE to get the miles under my feet in order to be prepared!
If I DO get the sniffles... I'll take a few days to rest & get extra sleep. But for the most part, I rarely have to fight off a head cold or the flu, etc. :happy:0 -
oh and discovering new soup recipes0

I do the same thing in the winter as in all the other season. Healthy, nutritious foods, lots of exercise and activity, and a positive outlook. Haven't had more than the sniffles in years. :-)0

I stay away from crowed places like theaters, mall, etc., constantly wash my hands and try to get lots of rest.0

Wash my hands a lot, and do my best to stay away from people who are sick.0
