Welcome ladies!! Let's start a thread for introductions. Remember that we will be starting Level 1 the week of the 28th, so please do not start until you see a thread for Level 1 (I will send a reminder).
My name is Felicia. I'm a wife and mom of two girls (one is an adult). I work in biopharmaceuticals and I'm a musician with my husband (I play the keyboard). We are amateur gold prospectors, so we'll be spending our Thanksgiving in Arizona mining for gold.
I started packing on the pounds after the birth of my second child, and was simply sick and tired of not having the energy to get off my bum and live!! Since joining MFP, I've lost 22.5lbs. I hope that 30DS will help me get even closer to my goal.
My biggest challenge is keeping my food in check, so I plan to be more consistent in logging my food. I'm happy to start this upcoming challenge with you all, thank you for being here!!

Thanks for the challenge. 36 years old, wife and mom of 2 kids. I work part time as a teacher's aid at a preschool.
Since my youngest (5) is finally in school full time, I have devoted this time to ME! I am about 5'0 - 5'1 - 5'2 - depending on the time of day I get measured and by who.. (this is a new discovery at the ob/gyn.. I always thought I was 4'11 and 3/4.. but I guess not... humm .. anyways...I am 133 lbs. In 2008 I was able to get down to 132, and that has been my lowest since I had my son 9 years ago. 144 is my average, when not watching what I eat and w/out working out, and 155 was my all time high.
I am scared of the shred and doing it for a full 30 days.. but I do want to try. It is hard.. I won't lie. and you will be so sore! I have gone to 5 lbs to 3 lbs just to be able to move the next day! Looking forward to getting past level 1.
Goal is to tone up and get to 128-125.0 -
I'm Mary. I'm a wife and a mom to 3 kids. I work part time in the IT field. I'm really looking forward to this challenge. I love to workout and have been doing Jazzercise about 4 times a week. I really need to watch my calories/nutrition so I can start dropping the pounds. I tend to snack too much and I feel addicted to sugar/chocolate! After signing up for the challenge tonight, I put in the 30DS DVD. My 4 year old even tried to do it with me. She only did it for a couple minutes but it was fun seeing her do jumping jacks, etc.
I've lost about 3 lbs so far on MFP. I'm hoping to lose about 45 lbs total...hopefully by next summer!0 -
My name is Yasmin. I'm a wife and a mom to four beautiful children ages 11 to 5 yrs. I'm a social worker and enjoy helping people. I love to dance and my dream is to be a runner someday! I'm super excited to start 30DS DVD with this wonderful group.0

Hello everyone! I am a single mother of 3 girls (2 which are my own and my niece that I adopted in 2009). I work fulltime as a Health Unit Coordinator for a Skilled Nursing Facility in a hospital. My smallest weight was 135 pounds (1998). When I got pregnant with my oldest girl I went from 135 to 205 pounds due to toxemia. After she was born I was only able to go down to 190 pounds (1999). From stress, depression and unhappiness I slowly went up to 230 pounds. When I was pregnant with my 2nd child I went up to 268 pounds and afterwards went back down to 230 (2002). Again from stress, depression and unhappiness I got up to 277 (my highest 2010). In 2011, I got down to 260, but put 7 pounds of it back on over the summer because I pretty much gave up on losing weight. In Ocotober, I decided I was TIRED of being overweight and that it was time to get serious and do something about it! I joined MFP October 13th and have lost 6 pounds since then, but I keep losing and gaining back the same 3 pounds for the past 3 weeks now and I'm a little bit frustrated! Lol...
I've had the 30DS DVD for about a year now and just started using it this month. I absolutely love it! I'm still on Level 1 and hoping to move up to Level 2 after the first 10 days. It is a hard workout, but I push myself through it. Good luck to everyone on their weightloss journey and I look forward to being in this group with all of you!0 -
I'm new to 30 DS, but heard great things and been waiting for the opportunity to give it a go!
I've slacked off a little since our Vegas trip this summer, but I love the feeling AFTER a good workout, ha ha...
With the cooler weather finally here...Austin...I'm better able to refocus and not die from the excessive heat...mostly I need a new routine. Zumba is my go-to for a fun, high-impact workout and bodypump has always been gold, but I need to get back to core and strength and from the websites I've visited, this is the best way to get it all in one package!
My initial goal is to get under 140, but I plan on pushing thru to Spring/Summer closer to 130. I also hope to use this fitness program to help shake off a bit of the blues...I suffer from high blood pressure and asthma...both of which can improve with exercise and healthy eating.
So glad to be here...ready to give encouragement and a good push wherever needed!

Hi everyone!
My name's Bryonie. I'm a student at university and I often find it difficult to fit exercise in, but 30 day shred is so easy to fit in and do at home. I love it.
I did the 30 day shred before, but forgot to take measurements before starting! So hopefully this time I will complete the 30 day shred and really see the difference.
Also, thanks for Felicia for doing a group again - it's very motivating!0 -

Hello Ladies! My name is Christine. I have always been over weight. My highest weight was 288 lbs; six years ago I lost 80 and then gained back 60. I have lost 65 pounds since May and am excited to be only 3 pounds away from reaching my goal of being under 200 pounds -- for the first time in as long as I can remember -- by the end of the year. I look forward to setting and achieving so many more health and fitness goals!
I am a single mother with three great kids -- 18, 15, and 10. I just received my RN license in June, and I am currently pursuing my BSN. I have worked in long term care for several years.
I usually go to the YMCA for my work outs, but I wasn't able to today so I decided to get a jump start on 30 DS. May I say WOW! Jillian kicked my butt!! Looking forward to taking this journey with you all!0 -
