I'm 301 and eat anywhere from 1800-2000 net. I have lost almost 77 lbs eating this way. I average about 10 lbs a month. The 2 months ate 1500 I lost 3 lbs one month and 4 the next. So, for me, eating more means I lose more.0

I am lighter now, but I checked my back logs and i was averaging at 1776 when I was that weight !0

I am just over 300lbs and am eating about 1850 I have been also eating my Exercise cals but am wanting to cut back on that. Just go with what works for you and feels comfortable. Good luck.0

being the idiot that I am against advices I decided id do 1250 cals and working out 30mins -1 hour per day every day
not eating back cals and I've not felt like I've been losing as much as I should..
I redid my profile(after editing my cal limit down myself) with mfp and it says I should be having 1420 I'm thinking of trying to stick to this for a fortnight and see how I go..0 -
I'm 299 and I eat 1800 a day. I eat most of my exercise calories too. I think 1800 is too low for me because when I eat more I seem to lose weight faster...0

When I started I was 272lbs and started at around 1910 then everytime I lost I edited it plus it does depend on your job how active you are and your height also if you want to loose 1/2 lb 1lb or 2lb a week (:0

You are def not an idiot. I think we have all done this. The first month I did 1200 and did not eat back any of my cals. Not only did I not lose as much weight as one would expect, but I felt horrid. Both emotionally (i get hungry-angry) and physically... I need fuel for this furnace.0 -
Currently I am 258 and I've switched my calorie limits around to see what works. Right now I'm 1900, but usually clock in about 1700-1800. I was doing the 1300 a day and wasn't losing anything. As you lose weight your calorie limit may decrease, but it's important that you get the proper amount of calorie intake or it will stall. Don't be afraid to eat0

i do have a constant battle with being scared to eat, i was bulimic at once stage many years ago and i must say it has been hard work keeping my self on a healthy path and not revisiting that very bad stage..0

I began at 261 about 46 days ago, my calorie intake before exercise is 1350, and plan on losing a pound to a pound and a half a week. So far I have lost 28.4 pounds and keep losing. I do not eat back my work out calories and seem to end my day around 1100 or a bit more calories per day. My goal weight for now is 145 pounds, so I still have about another 87 pounds to go :laugh:0
