Being ill definitely sucks but give yourself a break. You can't be super all the time (dodgy comic book reference). Once your cold has passed you'll be fighting fit again0

After reading your post my first thoughts are: if you can't bring yourself to exercise today scale way back on calorie intake. The 2 pound increase may just be a bit of water retention or something like that. Don't sabotage yourself because of the cold and scale. Just keep on keepin' on!0

I hate colds. I have had one for a week on top of that i have had a pinched nerve in my neck sense Nov 1st. I can't get to the gym because the nerve in my neck causes me to have migraines and then i either have to call out or suck it up at work. GRRR to the human body sometimes.
I hope you feel better0 -
The neti pot is a life saver. Just sayin.0

I disagree with the advice to 'scale way back on your calorie intake'.
You are ill. Your body needs a rest. That doesn't mean you can eat what you like in large quantities while you're ill, obviously. But, while your body is fighting something off, give it the fuel, the nutrients, the energy it needs. Wholesome foods. Foods that are beneficial to your health. You know the sort- vegetables, fruit, nuts, lean proteins etc. This is a chance to show your body a bit of love. Then you will recover more quickly.
I hope you feel better soon.0 -
Im not big on taking over the counter medicines, so i use natural sources to remedy illness. Any time i get a cold or even think i may be getting one, i go to my local grocery store and buy a big bottle of Bolthouse Farms "C-Boost" It has 1200% vitamin c in only 8oz. If you have already cured your cold i would still suggest getting a bottle of this to put in your fridge for future use.. besides, its very delicious and an excellent addition to your morning breakfast. hope you feel better.
here is a the link with a picture so you know what you are looking for. just copy and paste.

Lots of fluid and rest - a cold takes it's time and you do not want to risk your health. Killing yourself on exercise whilst having a cold an backfire big time. So take it as it is, a request of your body to get a bit of rest and don;t worry about the weight. When you gainb 2lbs over night, that can only be water or non processed food.0
