April 5th/6th 2011 - 15stone. I'd started running in Feb, but had put weight on and reached my top weight. These photos have been my point of reference. I was disgusted!

Stripycat and mimaduck83 - as we were!

This really was the one that did it for me!

This morning, just before I went out to run 10.2 miles, which was my goal for this year. I'm now just a hair over 12stone, and much much happier!

Thank you thank you thank you all!

I've still got a little way to go, but as a friend of mine who works as a personal trainer says, people built like me and her are lucky when it comes to running, especially long distances, because we carry our fuel with us!

I love my running! The size I'd ballooned up to had already made me decide I was going to get back to it, but was really motivated this year by the death of my nephew's other auntie (my sister-in-law's sister) who died of Kidney Cancer only 6 months after diagnosis, at the age of 41. I've raised a couple of hundred quid for Macmillan this year, but next year, Mimaduck83 and I will be embarking on a MUCH more ambitious plan!

Have a read of my blog - the plan's coming together slowly! http://carolinesrunningnotes.blogspot.com/
