What are everyone's favourite song/songs to exercise to, or what type of music. I am putting different playists together and I am curious to what people find motivational. I really like dubstep or different types of dance music to exercise to if I am doing cardio. Let me know yours.

Weirdly, I find a lot of heavy rock helps me on the treadmill. A particular favourite is 'Come Back' by Foo Fighters, but I also like 'Come Out And Play' by The Offspring and 'No-One Knows' by Queens of The Stone Age.

This one came on Thursday night as I was on minute 38 on the elliptical just dying to get off and pouring with sweat---kept me going and is now on my top 5 for working out. Not very fast paced, but if you sing it to yourself and really mean it, it's sheer motivation to keep on going!

    Superwoman--Alicia Keys

Also a go-to of mine is #1 by Nelly when I need that little extra to pull me through.

Any dance choons have the right beat to spin to - I have an album called Pump Up The Volume - it has singe tracks and then tracks that last for 30, 45 mins with tunes continuing into each other! excellent!

I agree on the dubstep. I don't know why, but it gets me running.
First of the Year (Equinox) by Skrillex always gets me running, especially at the part where the person screams "CALL 911 NOW!".
I also like some Ok Go songs, stuff like Invincible and Don't Ask Me.
Occasionally Mika gets me in the mood for running, but it's usually one of his faster songs.
Then I pretty much have whatever Top 40 music that's energetic.

RotFront - who are a bit of Ska Punk goes Reagga goes eastern european goes international. Gogol Bordello, who are hitting the same spot. Also use Linkin Park and similar quite often. I need something with a bit of aggression and speed when working out . Oh and of course there is always the Prodigy ^^
Dubstep is quite good as well

I listen to Christian Rock, like Stellar Kart, Switchfoot, etc. Just listen to what you like. I use Pandora on my Blackberry. If you have not tried Pandora you should. You can pick the music you like. If you want ad-free listening pay the 36 dollar annual fee, it is worth it. For my part I am perfectly content to listen to the free version. Again listen to the music you like and makes you feel good while working out.

In my workout music folder on my iPhone I have lots of different songs. I have slower songs for warming up and cooling down and then more upbeat songs for the higher energy workout.

    Songs include:

    Dynamite
    Shawty got moves
Dance little jean (nitty gritty dirt band)
Love you like a love song
    Chaiyya Chaiyya (Bollywood)
Hoedown throwdown (from the Hanna Montana movie...yes it gets me moving!)
    Rasputin (Boney m)
    The way I are
